Apr 6, 2012: Authentic Sports Management, in connection with Gross Creative Media
released “Crossroad,” a glimpse into the training habits and preparation of top-ranked
lightweight Eddie Alvarez, via an exclusive Facebook viewing opportunity.
“CROSSROAD” highlights Alvarez during preparation for his recent first-round,
knockout win against Japanese icon Shinya Aoki at Bellator 66. The film offers a look
into the camaraderie of Team Jaco (otherwise known as the “Blackzilians”), and follows
the Philly native from his new training home in South Florida all the way to Cleveland,
Ohio, to his long-awaited rematch against arguably the best pound-for-pound
submission fighter in the world.
Gross Creative Media, an Amsterdam-based company most aptly noted for its work on
“The Reem” documentaries, an online series featuring recent UFC heavyweight addition
Alistair Overeem, teamed up with ASM on the project. Alleged talks between Alvarez and MMA giant UFC have generated a healthy media
buzz, in anticipation of his fast-expiring contract with Bellator Fighting Championships.
Although Alvarez remains ever respectful of his current employer when questioned
about his future, to say that fans are excited about the possibility of seeing Alvarez face
UFC top talent in the stacked UFC 155lb division is an understatement.
